Robinson is positioned in the center of Crawford County at 39 0 22 N 87 44 20 W (39.006185, 87.738778). Illinois Route 33 passes through the center of the town/city as Main Street, dominant east 7 miles (11 km) to Palestine near the Indiana border and west 24 miles (39 km) to Newton.
