Pontoon Beach is positioned at 38 43 34 N 90 3 38 W (38.726078, -90.060505). According to the 2010 census, Pontoon Beach has a total region of 12.564 square miles (32.54 km2), of which 10.02 square miles (25.95 km2) (or 79.75%) is territory and 2.544 square miles (6.59 km2) (or 20.25%) is water. The ethnic makeup of the village was 87.72% White, 8.88% African American, 0.55% Native American, 0.78% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.71% from other competitions, and 1.33% from two or more competitions.
There were 2,134 homeholds out of which 38.0% had kids under the age of 18 living with them, 48.9% were married couples living together, 16.0% had a female homeholder with no husband present, and 28.8% were non-families.
In the village, the populace was spread out with 28.2% under the age of 18, 11.0% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 8.4% who were 65 years of age or older.
