Hanover Park is positioned at 41 58 44 N 88 8 46 W (41.978827, -88.146109). According to the 2010 census, Hanover Park has a total region of 6.435 square miles (16.67 km2), of which 6.33 square miles (16.39 km2) (or 98.37%) is territory and 0.105 square miles (0.27 km2) (or 1.63%) is water. The ethnic makeup of the village was 68.13% White, 6.13% African American, 0.28% Native American, 11.95% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 10.36% from other competitions, and 3.13% from two or more competitions.

In the village, the populace was spread out with 31.5% under the age of 18, 10.9% from 18 to 24, 35.0% from 25 to 44, 18.5% from 45 to 64, and 4.1% who were 65 years of age or older.
